State law: Found under IC 22-11-14-6. No one under 18 can purchase or possess fireworks of any kind.
Fireworks may only be shot from the property of the person(s) that has the fireworks; or from property that person has permission to shoot fireworks from; or a property designated by the Fire Department for the purpose of shooting fireworks.
Shells/mines cannot be larger than 2.5 inches unless the person is licensed to shoot fireworks. Rule of thumb: If it's bigger than a baseball, it's too big to possess without a license.
Fireworks may be displayed from 5:00 pm until 2 hours after sunset on June 29, June 30, July 1, July 2, July 3, July 5, July 6, July 7, July 8, and July 9.
Between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 midnight on July 4, Memorial Day and the day before the holiday and Labor Day and the day before the holiday.
Between the hours of 10:00 am on December 31 and 1:00 am on January 1.
